Founded in 2011 by Icelandic visual artist Andrea Maack, who through her art-exhibitions translated her work into an olfactory experience. Inspired by this these exhibitions, ANDREA MAACK´S collection of unisex fragrances has been developed with an artistic approach, using the highest quality raw materials. Neither feminine nor masculine, the perfumes contain an olfactory complexity that hints at a character rather than a gender. The ANDREA MAACK collection is sold worldwide at selective high end retailers and has been recognized in several international magazines such as French Vogue, AnOther, Elle, W Magazine and Highsnobiety to name a few.
A native Icelander, Andrea Maack graduated from the Icelandic Art Academy with a degree in fine arts. Her background in fashion and a keen interest in the world of beauty led her to create fragrances inspired by her artwork. On these projects Maack has collaborated with many renowned perfumers such as Julien Rasquinet, Alienor Massenet and Céline Ripert.
Maack (b. 1977) lives and works in Reykjavík. Solo exhibitions include The Reykjavík Art Museum, Georgia Sherman Toronto, Arnhem Mode Biennale, Maddox Gallery London and window installations in Harvey Nichols London, Tsum Moscow and Storm Copenhagen to name a few.
